Monel Alloy 400

Monel Alloy 400 (NA13, N04400) is a nickel-copper alloy resistant to seawater and steam at high temperatures and widely used in the chemical, oil and marine industries. As a solution strengthened material, Monel Alloy 400 displays good strength, toughness and corrosion resistance at temperatures up to 400°C.

Monel Alloy 400 (NA13, 2.4360) is supplied by Columbia Metals in the cold worked condition as standard.

Monel Alloy 400 (NA13, 2.4360) is used for offshore and marine applications and for chemical processing.

Its corrosion resistance is particular strong in rapid flowing brackish water or seawater. Monel Alloy 400 exhibits good resistance to hydrofluoric and dilute non-oxidising acids, alkalis and salts. It resists corrosion by dry chlorine and hydrogen chloride and is not susceptible to stress corrosion cracking. Monel Alloy 400 (NA13) is readily cold formable and weldable.
